@Rosie, there are lots of interesting reasons to move somewhere. I'm going to write about my three main factors for deciding that. Hope you're well!

I love these tests! I should apparently consider staying in Salem,Ma but maybe move one day to Prescott, Arizona.

Who knows what will happen, but i definteley love it here in salem. There is always so much going on around here.
I love that is asks questions not only about economic status but how does the city value people.I thought the test had some interesting questions and how they weighed the percentages. Sadly it said I should never move to Portland but I agree with Kate ,it's such a beautiful place!

As someone who is originally from Portland, Maine, I just want to tell you that it is a beautiful place, but the social scene can be very insular and played out - read - boring - after a while. I would suggest NYC or SF for you for sure. *Disclaimer - This advice is coming from someone who has 1) never met you 2) in a secret love affair with SF and 3) bitter and jaded about Portland.

Yea, so I read 2 of Richard Florida's books. First: Rise of the Creative Class... second YEPP Who's Your City! I took the test on his site before the book came out too, and I was terribly dissapointed with the results. I mean... it just didn't give me a lot of information and I didn't feel like the quiz really got to the heart of the matter. That being said. HIS BOOK WAS AWESOME. Well not a quick easy fun read, but when you get into all the data he has and think about choosing the best city for you in a qualitative way, it's really enlightening.

I still don't know where I should live, though. Hehe

The test says I should probably stay in Lancaster, PA and probably move to Paris, France.

I'm totally fine with either/or! :)

I love these tests too, James, because while there might not always be so much merit to them, they do offer a sense of self-awareness in confirming what you do/don't like, figuring out who you are. In the case of this particular test, I think you're right that it forces you to look really hard at the places you're considering. Sometimes, it's everything we really want. Sometimes, it's a dream that should remain a dream.

And now, I'll dream of Paris. :)
